I used to be the same, play any 2 cards when the blinds are starting out, but now i try to only play Picture cards or suited connectors because if say the blinds are 25-50 and you have a starting 1000 chip stack you play 2 hands and theres a 100 gone, so now you only have 900 chips..
And it dont sound like a lot but if you see say 6 hands paying 50 BB theres 300 of your chips gone,
Also always try to NEVER go all in, (Only if you know for sure you have the absolute nuts!!) This is one bit of advice i got given by my mentor and its maybe the best bit of advice iv been given.. |
