Instead of running bad, I am running quite OK lately. As you know I am playing only low stakes lately and only MTT's.
Last week I won a $11 R&A and this afternoon I finished 7th in a $11 Freeze Out. With double the average stack I had to run to pick up our son from the kindergarten, so I called my brother in law and he played for me (for about 1 hour). There were 54 players left when I left and I started playing again with 16 players left and a stack of $40K (average was about $80K).
With $30K left, I got AK and pushed all-in from middle position. Everybody folded and I was back at $42K picking up the blinds. The next hand I got Pocket Aces and managed to triple-up.
From that moment I grinded until there were 7 players left, when I got A8 off suit in MP. I had about $30K and pushed all in against the chip leader, who instantly called with pocket 9's. Well... I flopped an Ace and he flopped trips... surprisingly

The turn brought an 8, but the river a blank, so I was out and got $136 out of it.
I guess I shouldn't complain with a ROI over 100%, so I wont. I am actually quite happy that I am able to play consistently well at this level.
So Sean, I have experienced very dark times poker wise, but trust me..... the sun will shine again. It's just what you play and bankroll management might not seem that important, but loosing a couple of bucks being able to play again feels MUCH better than loosing a significant amount and having to re-deposit!
Cheers,
Giorgio
