Party Poker $2K Guaranteed

This afternoon I played the $2000 Guaranteed on Party Poker. A little over 400 players started this MTT and I was eliminated in 34th position.

I called 1200 a bit out of position, UTG+3, with KJ suited. My stack at the time was about 23000. Even tough my position didn't justify my play, I went out pretty bad.

I hit a Jack high flop and moved all my chips in the middle. The other person (who had double my stack) called with pocket 9's and hit a set on the turn.

I hardly played any hand, but didn't get the respect I deserved.

So, I got a way with ten bucks instead of $500 as planned Though I was happy about the way I played. I think my overall MTT game has improved A LOT. Just forget about my Leader Board performance yesterday, alright

Can't wait to play a live tournament again soon.

PS: I am not sure if I will make it in time before running out of chips tonight, as I have basketball practice. I did register, so only 9 more players need to register. hi all, thought this line needed an update..
following on from G's post, ive been playing a few of titans rebuy garenteed pot events over the past week...
ive ridgidly stuck to 'abc' poker sometimes not playin a hand for over an hour, however when i do play, its done with a brutallity that almost needs censorship.....
its amazing just how many times i have ended up both 'itm' and final table, although not winning one this week, i have ended up about $60 up..
not a fortune you may say but a profit is a profit, and im only one week into my rigid regeme of only playin $2/$3 garenteed events..
my target was to be in the money %50 of the time and win one in 100..
this i have worked out would see me about $750 up on a period of play lasting 100 games..
after one week,its 75% itm
final table 25%
wins 0

let me know if anyone else is having sucess following a set regeme..
this idea was put into my mind from one of G's posts about 3 months or so ago where a reletive of his had worked out the odds of this kind of format...
it took me a while to find the right match to my own bankroll but its now looking good.
i will keep you posted on my progress over the next few weeks, and i hope to be able to create enough growth to my bankroll to move up a lvl and then concentrate on $5 g;td events only...
the simple rule to all this is simply 2 things..
1, stick to ur plan using only 'abc' poker
2, stick well within ur bankroll... (i allow myself to add $200 a month to mine so thats why i chose 100 games at $2) it would be some effort to play 100 in the month which if managed would also probly be the cattalist for the wife filling for divorce =) )
my plan is to play the 100 games over a 3 month period, therefore both leaving me some bankroll for other things, pff league ect and keepin my maried status.. lol
