Hi guys,
just a short one
I have played in 2 of the leaderboard games this week, but at my points tally it say only 1. is this the number of games i have scored points in?
No big deal but it happened in the last series so just want to know the score

Hi Rob,

It appears that you did only register your username/screenname for Saturdays' event. That's why it doesn't show up as 2. Lucky enough you didn't earn any points there mate so it doesn't involve me doing any manual editing for one of the most loyal members, as I would have given you that loyalty privilege of course.

Glaed I asked and found out why!!! i only ever registered once so may well have won the last leaderboard but didnt register. So from now on i need to log my username before each tourney!!! Well you live and learn.

I would have if the points weren't distributed yet, but this time I won't. It's clear that everybody has to sign-up before an event... this has been said too many times and I simply can't make an exception, as I have denied this to other players before as well.

well, thats me done with this format...
yeah a game with plenty of players is great, but as pointed out before, a game with french speakers passing their hand details between each other, and generally team playing isnt on.. its not as if its just one or two, as im yet to find an honest french speaking player in this league and when i do,be ashured i will befriend that person openly.. im not a racist in any way.. i just dont condone cheating at any time especially at the poker table .
poker for free is im not mistaken a english/dutch speaking site and as far as i know we dont have a french version or for that mater ,even a french translation service, so whats wrong with english at theses games????
ive very much enjoyed the league over the last year however enough is enough...
in my honest oppinion this was a good idea that has just not worked for the pff club player.. the only way this would work is separating the league games from the freerolls.
i would happily play freerolls in the same, 'who dares wins' maner as the freerollers do, but i refuse to play bingo poker as a league...

did you not see my post on exactly the same subject last week!! I beleive this is a canadian site so invariably there is an abundance of french speakers play on there. I have complained many times about the situation on there as noone speaks english and it says english at the tables!!
I cannot believe that my long losing streak at these games has been so consistent and the folds of other players is not coincidence.
I have since seen that this site is probably one of the worst for freeroll whores (usually french!!)I also cannot believe that the password was only used by PFF members as i have been asked on numerous occasions to msn the password to others.
I know it is difficult to monitor, but other forums i was once involved with used the '3 relevant/good posts rule' to enter there freerolls, now at the moment we would only have me, giorgio,pysc and maybe Dr Mouse playing. ye not really good but the monies put forward would go to REAL PFF members.

Finally, I cannot play tonight even if i wanted as i dont have any money left at titan!!! i am also playing in a £5000 VIP freeroll at my regular poker site.

what i forgot to add to my post is the fact i speak a little french (parents retired to south of france) and i worked for a dutch company for several years that had me posted in france a lot... i understood enuf to catch on to what was happening but could not understand it all as i dont have the knollage of current slang terms ect....
i also understood enuf to realise that these players (very loose term) run multiple accounts, using many difrent email addys and have accounts that are just made to play in 'sign up through this site' freeroll games. if i understood right, they then play wild with these accounts playing luck percentage until getting one account doing well...
it also became apparent that a group of players were talking on a forum as they refering to somthing i could only translate to as 'the open window' ....

now ive calmed down a little, i may play the added, depending on who enters although if that turns out to be an all in bingo game ,with players of a certain type pushing calling and the folding ,just to keep each other in chips as was hapening last nite i will never play again.. i watched for a little while after i was called out last nite and over the next three hands chips were shuffled around the table in this maner between the callers of my push..
in evry other hand that had one none french speaking player in a pot, all the french speakers pushed unless it risked them being elliminated, just to get the chance of them winning up,and whenrver one of them pushed it was fold fold fold.
it was THAT blatent.
even telling each other to call,so the chip leader among them could fold some chips accross....
the only bet that was possible in this freeroll was one you were prepared to go all in on , and then having your odds reduced by a group of players all going with you on a coin flip.
if you try and slow play against this type of group action in this blind format game you run out of time way to quickly and the chancers build up un asailable chip leads that they use preflop domination call tactics to control the game with from that point on...
its not rocket science, but its effective.

to simplify my oppinion.

i enjoy playin good poker with poker players that try to win playing good poker.
i dont enjoy constant all ins preflop, cheating ,and chancers who will not care if they go out of this game, but only are looking for a chip lead in a few of their many many freerolls.
if i wanted to play bingo i would join the wife on the sun game or down the local bingo emporium.
Please Giorgio, separate the freerolls from the league...
let players find out about this cool site through freerolls yes..... thats great, but then let those who want to play poker not bingo pay to enter the league...
this then gives you the option of reintroducing the freeroll you have to quallify to play in by playing the league games...
i fully understand that to get these promos you are expexted to generate new signups.
i also understand why the poker sites are turning a blind eye to the multiple resignups of players just to get into freerolls... in theory each of us is only entitled to play in one freeroll set up per pokerroom.... NOT HAPPENING...
its all about 'percieved market share' pure sizeism, for marketing and projected figures for value of online bisness, which is all well and good, allas, who looses out,/ why us the decent poker playin public... shafted by gread on two fronts.. poker room accountants and freeroller postitutes.

Hi Sean,

A couple of things...

If this will ever happen again, make sure to copy the text from the chat. That way we have the user names and we will just make sure they will be excluded from playing in PFF tourneys, or even from Titan if we can make a statement.

For the freerolls, if we will continue with the leader board in 2009, it will be a non freeroll leader board. In fact, there has been a lack of inactivity from my side for Poker For Free, as the site will soon have a major overhaul. No it won't be redesigned again, but it will be going through some changes to make the overall quality better.

I have also told you about that we are trying to do something BIG over a longer period. If this goes on, we will see a lot of new people around... Let me give you a hint... 2 letters from a 4 letters word: WS.. Anyway, this is still too far from beaing even near realistic, so better not count on it. But if this happens, the tourneys will be spread over a couple and will ONLY be buy-ins (and the buy-in prize will go up as well, as we will attract more serious players).

I have to say, I regret that people take advantage of promotions (hence why we don't have our free $10 anymore) and freerolls. These type of players are too dumb to be true... They're nothing but F-ing scammers, and if you ask me, they should be shot through the head without mercy! Unfortunately Titan won't give me their addresses
