The NEW Leader Board set-up

If you have followed the discussion in the forum, you know what I am referring at, if you haven't... then make sure to read this

As many of you know we have seen many people signing up at Poker For Free just because of our freerolls. Since a couple of things went wrong in April and I received several complaints, here or by e-mail, I was kind a' fed up with it all.

That made me think about it and with the ideas from some of our most loyal members we came up with the following idea.

From now on we will add more money to the prize pool of our added tourneys and run these a few days BEFORE our freerolls. Everybody is allowed to play the added events to get max value.

The freerolls will from now on be restricted, meaning they will not be password protected any longer. Entry tokens will be distributed to players who have played the Added event, so they can play the freeroll as a bonus tournament.

This way we won't have "kids" at the table and can build up a nice group of people that are seriously about playing poker online. The more I personally think about it, the more I love it!

PS: We have learned from our mistakes and will also verify each event being set-up correctly from now on

I think now we shall see some good games with this new development.
Even though i dont play in many games i think that this is the best idea you have had.

although i won't be playin much in the near future (beacuase I have another busy life besides my pokerlifer) I realy support your decision. I guess the level of poker in the tournaments will get much higher and therefor much more fun for us. Go for it, guys!

See, that wasn't so hard now, was it?

As I'm sure you've already figured, I probably won't be playing too many of these... unless they're on Fridays (kinda the only day I don't have any other regular tourneys lined up)... and I have some money lying around on the site... and I'm in the mood... and the prize pool is worth it.

But it does sound like a good system for those who are perhaps more inclined to play a league like this than I am. Good luck with it, guys!

The New System seems to be a good idea to "clean up" the freerolls.

But winning todays leaderboard event was better.
