Hi there Rob, Next week and in the other upcoming buy-in tournaments, the men will be separated from the douche bags ![]() I have done many things to get the forum more active, but somehow the only regulars seem to be you, Sean, me and very occasionally someone else. Mainly we have to deal with people that want free and then still have something to complain, you know I am saying ![]() So, like you said: Let's talk poker! Will you post your tourney results tomorrow mate? I will make sure to comment them ![]() Greetings, Giorgio |

Hi Sean, Good to see you here again! I hope others will catch up posting again. Been talking to some friends, but their problem is that the English language is not their native language. Congrats on the 2nd place finish! Anyway, I myself am currently trying to qualify for the ASOP this September in Barcelona. The ASOP (Affiliate Series of Poker) is a tournament for affiliates only and has a final day with 40 qualifiers. Wednesday I came close to qualifying, but was card dead for the majority of the tourney. Came in 10th with only 4 tickets available. Yesterday I tried again and with about my third hand I limped in with pocket fives. I flop-ed a set and decided to slow play the hand on the turn, so I just called a bet of 75 (BB was 20). With a total of 5 players in the had and only a Q high flop, the guy out of position raised to 300 after the turn was blank. With two clubs on the board I decided to isolate him and pushed all in. Everybody folded, just liked I wanted to, but the initial raiser called (after thinking over the hand) and rivered me. He did had a pair of Q, but I lost against his flush. Perfect play, but bad luck there. There are a couple more sat's to go, so I won't give up yet ![]() Cheers, Giorgio PS: Rob, how's the keyboard? |
