What else keeps you going, but poker?

Poker has become a big part of my life, but besides poker there are more things in life that I enjoy.

Personally I love to spent time with my family and love play basketball.

At one point I was coaching and training basketball youth in the age of under 14. I did it for a total of 5 years, which of 3 years I worked with selection teams for the main local basketball club. I also worked at Coach Morgan Woottens Summer Camp in the States for two years, which I loved to do... get up early and work with motivated kids wanted to work on their game.

When I became a father of a beautiful son, I had to give it all up, as it simply was too much. I was never at home, we even ate sepperately maany nights, because I practiced at least 3 times per week + a game and I also had my own teams' (2 teams) practices + games. Besides, I trained and coached my gf's team for one season as well. On top of that I did the second official trainers course, to get my A license. So... basically I had no choice when our son was born, but give up.

Sometime I miss coaching, but then again I like my freedom too much and hate all the politics involved with training and coaching talented kids (parents and what so ever). I stick to watching occasional youth games.

Now-a-days I still practice twice a week and play competition with my own team, but have been struggling with shin splints lately, an injury that is bothering me for years

well, kids obviously pay a big part in my life however no involvement like G.
auction,antiques and collectables are now my hobby, once my living, as i was for ten years an antiques auctioneer.
the turn of the new melenium saw thw downturn in this industry and throughout history people havnt been intrested in the past at the turn of a new centuary, as they all look to the future. this has hapend for as long as history has been documented.
however by the time i retire, (as if i ever will) my specialist industry will be in full swing once more as ppl collect the mid 20th centuary memories.

thus, i spend my free time in persuit of those items that are being discarded on mass today that will be the collectables of the future... which for anyone intrested is the true deffenition of a collectable, not somthing made today, called a limited production and sold on mass as a collectable thing.. grrrr that realy gets on my tits lol.

i still auctioneer, but only for charities these days,as these can be much fun to do as ive been known to get people do handstands against the wall and using any money that falls from their pockets as a bid =)

So if any of you have things like a motoroller brick phone, the 8000 series in the loft let me know, especially the white one,.... im buying =)

Hi guys,
Well where to begin?
I am a father of two great jids a boy (11) and a girl (8)Both are a pain in the arse but wouldnt be without tem. Only one computer so dont get as much chance as i would like to play poker especially school nih=ghts Lol.
I love playing golf...but not very good at it... bit like my poker really!!!! I did karate for many years and competed at a high level (british championships) but gave it up due to the requirement of having my knee rebuilt after a fairly bad fight. so suffice to say i cannot really do any fitness activities except swimming and cycling which i do with my lad.
He plays football so that my weekends taken care of..daughter does dancing all week so thats the week taken care of. That leaves mejust enough time to er, go to work!!!!! And even that isnt looking to bright as i work at Vauxhall Motors!!!!!!!!!!
After all that i am really happy with my lot, Girlfriend of 13 years( dont jknow her well enough to marry yet)

Seems you have a nice life! Can't wait until my boy starts sporting, and hopefully that will be basketball, as that's the direction I am trying to push him to
